GDPR- General Data Protection Regulation Workshop

GDPR is the new EU regulation covering data protection and stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It will come into force on 25 May 2018 and replaces our current Data Protection Act 1998 and the Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. So this covers all records a setting would keep including both paper based and electronic records.

There will be new obligations for all providers regarding personal data and new rights for individuals. Organisations must recognise that GDPR isn’t a set of guidelines for best practice, it’s a new set of laws.
The main focus of GDPR is consent and the right to privacy for individuals.
The workshop will look at the implications of the new legislation and processes organisations will need to put into place before 25th May 2018

The workshop will take place on
Monday 12th February 10:00 till 12:00

The venue is
Lidgett Lane Community Centre
