A general arts and crafts group that uses some traditional Caribbean themes and activities.

non-LLDD course
This course will explore the area of gentle activism, looking at ways to use art to tackle prejudice, injustice, corruption and inequality through gentle protest and being the positive change we want to see in the world. Using processes such as cross stitch, sewing, knitting, banner and bunting making, postcard/card making and other crafty techniques, learners will be encouraged to create a public piece of art or fabric work that can be enjoyed in a gentle way and perhaps make someone’s world a little better.
Students will record the process through blogs and social media, creating an identity for the project as a group.
FEE INFORMATION FOR ALL 10-WEEK COURSES
Free – if you are in receipt of income related benefits, and/or for LLDD (Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities) courses, declare a health related issue. For non-LLDD classes proof of income related benefits is necessary to be eligible for the fee waiver.
£16 – If you are in receipt of a state pension
£60 – Full course fee
You are eligible to enrol on our courses if you reside in Leeds and have a Leeds postcode.
