Wednesday 8th June – Reginald Centre hosts first stop of the Victoria Gate Roadshow

On Wednesday 8th June, 10:30 – 16:00, the Reginald Centre in Chapeltown will play host to the first in a series of employment workshops delivered by the Victoria Gate development. With the upcoming development due to bring 1,000 new jobs to the city, local residents will get the chance to learn more about the current and forthcoming vacancies along with information on training and other opportunities the new development will offer.

Executive Board Member for Employment, Enterprise and Opportunity Mohammed Rafique, along with ward colleagues Councillor’s Jane Dowson and Eileen Taylor, will be attending the event in Chapeltown and are encouraging residents to take the opportunity to get specialist CV and interview advice. Attendees will also be given an insight into the employment support package on offer from the Victoria Gate Development.

Other stops on the Roadshow tour will see further employment events held across the city at the City Centre One Stop Centre on Wednesday 15th June; St George’s Job Shop in Middleton on Friday 24th June; and the Armley One Stop Centre on Monday 27th June.
