Launch of Women Friendly Leeds Safety Survey

Women Friendly Leeds are extremely excited to announce the launch of our Women’s Safety Survey. This survey asks for your views and experiences about the safety of women, girls and non-binary people who live, work or study in Leeds. The information we collect will inform our new campaign “Switch on to Women’s Safety – This Has to Involve Us All” and will thus be a vital step in exploring how we can make Leeds a safer city for us all.

The survey is open for three weeks from today. You can complete it via this link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/womensafetysurvey. It takes between 10-15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. We can also provide printable copies for you to share with the people you work with if preferred. Please let us know if you would like one of these copies and we will get them to you as soon as we can.

We would love to hear from as many people as we can on this important subject. Building a clear picture on gender and safety, rooted in a solid local evidence base, is vital to ensuring we have a strong voice to advocate for change and make a difference in our city. We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this survey with the people you work with and your wider networks to help us reach as wide an audience as possible.

Please note: this survey is not open to men but we are currently working with allies to create a second survey looking at how our local strategies can also include men’s behaviours and working with them to effect change. We will share updates on this survey with you as soon as we can.

If you have any questions on the survey and how you can support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with myself or Emily via emilyt@leedswomensaid.org.uk
